Our Last Day in Sydney.....

Since today was our last day in Sydney, we TRIED to make the most of it.. However the past couple days have been hot and tiring so we did the MOST we could. We tried to go to Dim Sum @ a place which was supposed to be Sydney's 'Best' Dim Sum called Dragonstar?.. something or rather.. I can't remember! But.. that was sooo packed and we were #91.. and couldn't understand what the asian aunty calling out the numbers was saying.. nor did she understand us, even putting on our expert asian accents.. Cam is the best of all.. HAHA.. In the end we went to a huge place across the road called Marigold, which has 2 levels that serves dim sum! The food was ok, but i still prefer my Hoi's Kitchen in NB.. hehehe =P After lunch, Nath & I walked around Market City looking at all the stores.. which I couldn't really buy nething since i'd spent soo much on crap..haha =P Then walked into town to meet the rest. Next stop was a drive to Bondi to look around then grocery shopping for tonights dinner made my Carter! (which was delish Wei C, thanks dude! - sooo full) Off to an early night.. or should i say supposed early night since our flight is tm morning and have to be up early.. however all this blogging.. takes so much time - its 2am!! Who ever's reading.. better appreciate it!! >_<

Overall, my Sydney trip has been a good one to get away and just have a break (even though I just got back from a very long holiday in M'sia) It's been a very busy, non-stop, fast paced and tiring holiday - I guess that's just the life here. But I do actually think Sydney is a really nice place to stay! So much nicer than the relaxed Perth, with so much more to see, do and SHOP! I never thought i'd like to move to Sydney but this trip has made me realise what a nice place it is, even from the view on the plane!! However, I'll still always call Perth my home! =) Thanks to MT, Cam for being so hospitable and letting me stay.. & to Nath for taking me out and having so much fun with me!! Missing you guys already.. =\

Saturday 25th February 2006

First on the list for 2day was going to Bills for brekky in Surry Hills.. it's meant to be quite popular for their breakfast. So I had the Banana Hotcakes with Honey Comb butter while Carter had the famous scrambled eggs with mushrooms.. Mm.. food was filling and next we went to the Paddington Markets where my sister & I bought some really cool famous paper mache bangles that are soo pretty! We then headed to the Birkenhead Factory outlets which was sooo cool, except we didn't have enough time there so didn't get to go to many of the shops :( Definately going there again next time!! After a long day we headed back to rest.. and rest was wat we did! We didn't head out for dinner until after 9pm.. Went down to Surry Hills again but without much luck (after walking up and down the street for 30mins) we decided to go back into the city for some Korean..by the time we ate it was after 10pm!

Friday 24th February 2006 - Melissa's Birthday
Exploring Newtown & the Sydney Opera House

On Friday was Mel's Bday (Happy Belated Bday =) and a day for us to explore Newtown & the Opera House. It started with brunch in Newtown @ El Basha with Carter then meeting up with Nath to wander around. The weather was good, a tad hot but better than the other gloomy days at the beginning of the week. After walking around in the hot sun we decided it was getting late and if we wanted to go visit the Opera House we better make our way into the city so we could make it in time for dinner. We also tried Gelatissimo (which Nath hasn't even tried yet & slurpees which Carter made us all have brain freeze competitions..haha) Dinner was @ The Regal Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. Cam organised a suprise bday dinner for MT and invited all their friends, apparently she had no idea.. hehe but i think she did. He did a good job of organising candles and rose petals all over the tables and room which was really nice.. aww how sweeeet =P After dinner we all headed down to the Privillage Bar. Ooh.. did i mention that i met the Nescafe "I think someone needs a hug" guy, who is also in the VB Shout Politics add??

Carter arrives!!!!!

Today Carter arrived from Perth at 6am.. we spent the whole day with Nath shopping in the hu-mun-gus city.. We walked into Newtown and caught the bus to Townhall.. Got quite a lot of shopping done, sorry boys for making you wait!! Dinner was with Mel & Cam after work at some Jap place that i forgot the name of.. Wasn't that great, firstly we had to wait ages for a table, then next was the food... then lastly was MY food.. then paying the bill took ages toO! Guess we won't be going there again!? =P

Tuesday - Day 1 of Work @ Napoleon

Tuesday was off to an early start with following my sister to work at Napoleon. Her office is in the city so quite close to where we are staying however since there is 3 of us and only 1 bathroom we had to wake up early to get ready. The day was busy spent doing data entry and packing mascara for a new product launch in the US, but it's well worth it since i get paid in products.. hehehe =) After work, we went for dinner @ Wagamama's in Darling Habour.. the food was good and we had a lot of fun mucking around while Cam took random photos.. After dinner we walked around the habour and took a drive around the city with the wind in our hair.. with Cam, being Cam.. need i say more? haha =P

1st Day in Sydney..

I arrived in Sydney Sunday night and having an early night.. Monday was spent with Nath!! After a much waiting, we finally got to hang out!! Nath picked me up early morning and he took me for a scenic route to Manly Beach where we took a couple pics and did some shopping as the weather wasn't that great. Also a bird tried to fly at me!! =( Next we headed to Chatswood for shopping, where another bird tried to attack me..thats right TWO birds.. in 1 day!! After a long day of shopping, we headed back to Nath's where he was supposed to cook dinner, however by the time his Dad came back they decided to go out for dinner instead.. we went to a nearby restaraunt called Ezzelino's for Italian which was really filling.. and very hot due to no air circulation!!.. I had a really, really good day.. alot of the time Nath just followed me around and waited..so thank you soo much Nath!! Hope u had fun too & thanks again to your parents =)

Saturday 18th February 2006 - Jean Louis' Bday/Halil's Bday/Graduation Day for some/Metros

Saturday was a very, very busy day for me.. Woke up early morning to bathe Baby and get her ready to send her off to Rockingham to my Aunty Gina's to be looked after while i'm away in Sydney. Next stop was Jean Louis 21st Bday @ UWA with Steph, which was basically like a highschool reunion - haven't seen some ppl in soo long.. so it was good! Next I headed down to Curtin for some Uni friends graduation with Lou, Sally & Chun.. (Btw congrats to KK, Ed, Will, Jen) From there we moved on to Halil's 21st Bday @ The Deen.. I've never actually been there before so I had no idea where I was going or where to find him, but luckily in the end we did and dropped off my present & headed down to Metros to meet the new graduates to celebrate!! It was a really tiring and hectic day for me but all in all it was a good day.. After getting home in the wee hrs of the morning, it was finally time for me to rest for a few hrs and then start packing for my Sydney trip the following morning.. which i was, as usual.. running late for!!
