26th May Friday - Mervin's 21st Birthday Dinner @ Tsunami

For Mervin's 21st, he decided to have a dinner with close friends as his family is away in Shang Hai..so we were his family for his birthday.. Aww =) So off he went and made elegant invites (with the aim of beating mine, see it's a good thing u did cos they turned out great!!) Anyway, dinner was at a Japanese restaurant called Tsunami in Mosman Park in which i've never been b4.. however it turned out to be a really nice place and the food was delicious.. although we sat outside in this courtyard area which was delicately decorated in fairy lights and leaves, meaning it was quite dark and couldn't really see what we were eating but it was still delicious! (Did i mention it was freeeeeeeeezing cold that night and my legs were frozen like stiff sticks =\ however I strategically chose my seat right under the huge ass outdoor heater and nearly burnt my hair off.. jk but i did have a hot back)

The set started with : Miso soup.. crab & avacado rolls, chicken in some edible container, terriyaki chicken & fish, prawn noodles, beef stew with rice and then fortune and choc chip cookies. I know, not very japanesey but still good. Where i got some dodge fortune that someone else ALREADY got.. AND didn't even make sense. Something about waiting for the night to come? .. right.... Oh and we had a very fruity cream, fruit cake.. with, wait for it...MELON balls..!! Yes.. i know, small things amuse small minds.. but i don't think i've seen them before.. or eaten them. Oh.. both Mervin and Gareth made speeches.. both equally just as good! Mervin's was something about us as his friends being the pee in his pants? ..how no one can see but only he feel the warmth? Awww.... i guess? hehehe =) and Gareth about his stalking antics, watching Mervin from his bedroom window........

okok.. so i just got corrected by Mervin that i got his speech totally wrong.. this is what he said:

20th May Saturday - Tracy's & Jillian's 20th Birthday Celebrations

For Tracy's birthday, she celebrated by having a dinner at Jade Dynasty with some close friends and her family. The food was good and there was lots of it.. lobster noodles, chicken, pork, veges, sago pudding, cake.. my gosh! ended up having a huge ass belly by the end of it which we then had to head down to Metros for Jillian's bday @ Metros. Thanks babe for dinner, hope u had a great night!! So off Lou & I went to change in the car.. and since we had no mirror we had to get out of the car and look in the window or at each other..haha. Since we got there early, Metro's wasn't too packed but as usual after people started to arrive. Oh.. incidents of the night.. lou left her car keys.. in the car (yes again - i think it may be the lou&fel syndrome, when we're together retarded things just seem to keep on happening) also when Miss S Tan (full name not revealed for protection purposes) nearly lost Miss L Koroh's drivers license.. How, u say? For trying to get into Metros with it.. where the bouncer actually confiscated it but in the end she got it back... PHEW!!!

For those who don't know who Campbell is.. he's my older sister, Melissa's boyfriend who lives in Sydney. Did I mention he's white? But thinks hes asian?? hahaha jk Cam.. ( "It's okAy.. some peepol doun know how to cook!" - in chinese/vietnamese old lady accent ) but I must say my sister has done a good job in turning you AZN.. -_- <--- smile more like this next time, you're nearly getting there though!! hahaha =P

Anyway, Cam came to Perth last Wednesday to help open up some new office in Subi for his work. During his stay, hes managed to come down to the Tay residence for dinner, get lost with me in town looking for his hotel, get caught in a jam packed traffic jam on the freeway.. which we thought was some hardcore accident & got really excited.. ok so that may sound really bad but i thought it was something like a bus turned over or something cos we saw a million cop cars drive past on the opposite side of the freeway, plus there was one in front of me.. and an ambulance! dont worry i made him pray.. 'Pls make sure nobody is injured but the accident is left there long enough so we can drive past and see what happened..' hahaha buttt.. it was just a lane closure where 3 lanes merged into 1... talk abt ripped off!! hah some cars thought I was a push over driver cos i let one in... so Cam made a bet that i would let at least 2 more cars in by the end of the jam.. but DID I SHOW HIM.. that's right Cam, u know i did!! hahaha.

Oh before i forget, Cam managed to come meet up with me on the weekend, or should i say CHECK up & WATCH over me like a hawk.. by coming down to Metros on Saturday night and scaring half or should i say most ppl who were talking to me. It started off with some random sms's that didn't make sense then a couple calls with me shouting down the phone that I can't hear him cos i'm in Metros.. to find myself looking up with his face in mine staring at me.. hahahaha. Overall was a good night and im glad he came to stir up some trouble.. Tonight we went for dinner @ South Sea before he leaves back for Sydney tomorrow, where the madness will end.. haha jk.. Actually seeing Cam on his Perth trip reminds how much fun I had visiting my sister & him in Feb and how much I do miss my sister, even if its the stupid bickering or lame jokes we have... or when Cam tries to speak chinkanese.. [GLEAMMERR] =p anyway, not long till we see them at the end of June/July... when we go on holiday to Europe then back to Malaysia for my cousins wedding.. woot!

p.s. i'm sick, just thought i'd whinge and tell everybody.. btw what does 'p.s' stand for? anybody?
